Challenge

An engineer from Singapore relocated to Kuala Lumpur for a twelve-month project posting. He needed a vehicle from day one but didn't want to buy locally or deal with the administrative overhead of ownership during a temporary stay. Short-term rentals were too expensive on a monthly basis and didn't include servicing.

Solution

He chose the Twelve-Month Premium Plan — higher-tier vehicle, door-step collection for service appointments (convenient given his office schedule), and quarterly reviews. The named driver option allowed him to add his partner to the arrangement three months in when she joined him in KL.

Outcome

The arrangement ran the full twelve months without service disruptions. Two quarterly reviews were used — one to extend mileage terms, one to arrange the weekend swap option for a family trip to Penang. Vehicle returned with the condition walkthrough completed on-site at Bukit Bintang. No disputes.

Outcome

Their own car came back from the workshop on week eleven. Velora returned the vehicle at the three-month point with the standard walkthrough. The family paid RM 1,440 total for three months of covered, serviced transport — less than weekly hire rates for the same period.

Working Professional Adding a Second Vehicle

Six-Month Standard Plan · Extended to 12 Months · 2024–2025

Challenge

A couple in Petaling Jaya found themselves sharing one car for two different commute patterns. They wanted a second car for six months to test whether ownership made sense longer term.

They chose the Six-Month Standard Plan and added the partner as a named driver during onboarding. The sedan covered both their commutes across the arrangement period. Servicing was handled without disruption, with a swap vehicle used on two occasions.

Outcome

At the six-month mark, they decided not to buy — the arrangement was working and they hadn't settled on where they were moving. They transitioned to the Standard Plan for a further six months. Total period: twelve months. Move happened in month eleven; return coordinated in advance with Velora.
